Bont

The Bony Vaypors are legendary cycling shoes. Worn by Wiggins on his Tour De France win and by many other professional cyclists, even when Bont are not their actual shoe sponsor(they hide the shoe underneath their sponsors overshoes/oversocks). With a carbon fiber sole and heat moldable structure, these handmade shoes are the gold standard of cycling shoes.

Based on the successful ctt-one, the Bont Vaypor Road shoe continues Bont’s development in shoe technology. Whilst maintaining the lateral forefoot support synonymous with all Bont cycling shoe models, the Vaypor now has a reduced carbon height around the toe box area and an all new Suede L liner. The base is made by hand by sandwiching cross weave carbon and uni-directional carbon fibre which is embedded with epoxy thermo setting resin. The fibres are hand laid in the matrix according to the strain they will have to bear. Super Mould Technology allows you to obtain a custom fit from a stock boot. The Bont a-one’s industry leading stack height, weight to strength ratio and power transfer are all part of the new Bont Vaypor.

The Bont cycling shoes are the most heat moldable shoe on the market today. To mold your shoes, remove any cleats, laces or cleat mounting screws and innersole before molding. Failure to remove the innersole can result in it becoming deformed by the heat. Pre heat the oven to 70C/160F. Place the shoe in the oven for 20 minutes. Higher temperatures will void your warranty and may damage your boot. Caution: Do not place your feet in the hot shoes or you may burn your feet. Let them cool a little and test the shoe temperature with your hand before placing your feet in the shoes. Tighten the straps and allow to cool. If you have any lumps or bunions on your feet or if there are any areas causing discomfort, while the shoe is hot you can use the round end of a screwdriver to press out any part of the boot. You can heat mold the shoes as many times as you like.

Bont Sizing Guide:

Warning: You need to check the chart, Bont Shoes size small so you need to go up at least a size, but the surest way to get your size is to measure your foot.

To find your size, place a tape measure on a flat surface up against a wall. Stand on the tape measure with your heal against the wall. Look down and take the measurement from your longest toe. Then use the MM scale on the size chart to find your size.

The mm sizes on the size chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. If you find that your mm size is exactly the same as a value on the size chart, you may want to select one size bigger to give your toes some room. Eg. You measure your foot and it is 268mm is size which is a size 42.5. Unless you like your shoes very tight, we highly recommend you may wish to wear a size 43.
